Step into The Love Shack, a private, resort-style escape designed for couples. With a splash pool, outdoor shower, and lush tropical surrounds, it’s perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, or slowing down and savouring each other.

The Space

• Handcrafted timber studio: ~18m² indoor living + ~130m² private, multi-level decking.
• Air-conditioning, ceiling fans over deck, and screened windows for comfort.
• Compact, well-equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, blender, espresso machine, washing machine.
• Separate toilet building and private open-air shower.
• Private splash pool, outdoor BBQ area, and open-air bath under the stars.
• Linen, towels, and beach towels provided.

This is a unique, adventurous space for couples who enjoy open-air living and privacy.

Location

• Quiet hillside setting on the sunrise side of Muri, surrounded by tropical gardens with glimpses of the lagoon.
• A 10–15 minute walk or 5-minute drive to Muri Beach, with restaurants, shops, and rentals.
• Activities nearby: Te Vara Nui cultural show, Koka’s Lagoon Cruises, Te Manava Spa, kite surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking.
• Other beaches (Titikaveka, Vaaimanga, Arorangi) and snorkelling spots are a short drive away.
• Avarua town (20 minutes by car or bus) offers shopping, markets, galleries, and museums.

Guest Access

• Private entry via rear sliding door (key access).
• Full use of splash pool, outdoor kitchen, bath, decks, and garden.
• Property includes two other boutique units, but your space is self-contained and private.
• Shared carpark monitored by security cameras.

Getting Around

• Airport transfers available through us ($25 per person, each way, cash to driver).
• Car or scooter hire recommended, we suggest Island Car & Bike Hire or Rarotonga Rentals.
• Local buses run clockwise and anti-clockwise; main road is a 5–10 minute walk.

Things to Note

• Check-in: from 2:00pm.
• Check-out: by 10:00am.
• Early/late check-in/out subject to availability & fee.
• Early arrivals without approval may result in fees.
• WiFi included (Starlink).
• If you prefer a fully enclosed bathroom, this space may not suit your needs.
• For early morning arrivals or late night departures, consider booking the extra night. Luggage drop-off may be possible by request.
• Travellers from Auckland/Sydney cross the International Dateline – double-check your itinerary. We request a copy of your flight details at the time of the booking.

Your Hosts

• Our local property manager will be your main contact during your stay. She’s available for assistance if needed but won’t interrupt your holiday unnecessarily.
